Opera Kansas has been active in Wichita since its founding in 1985; developing the audience for opera and encouraging opera attendance throughout the greater Wichita area. The company produces two readily-accessible productions of chamber operas in English annually; one at the Wichita River Festival and another at Miller Concert Hall on the WSU campus during Thanksgiving. Opera Kansas also offers educational programs to public schools and community groups.
