Music Theatre of Wichita was formed in 1972 to provide first class musical entertainment, and educational opportunities for talented young Midwesterners. MTW is an advanced training ground and career resource for young actors and technicians. MTW uniquely educates the general populace on the value of America's native art form, the Broadway musical; by offering pre-show talks, lecturedemonstrations, and including a detailed history of each work in playbills.
