Friends University's Fine Arts Division has built a reputation in Wichita and far beyond for quality programs and performances. The Division offers a variety of outstanding arts performances: choral music, instrumental music, dance, drama, musical theatre and the fine arts. Choral Music - Singing Quakers, one of the premier university choirs in the nation, have performed at the White House, Carnegie Hall and on many international tours. Concert Choir is another choral group at the university.Instrumental Music - Two jazz bands and several jazz ensembles perform an eclectic mix of classic and new age jazz - Community Orchestra, Concert Band, Chamber Orchestra, percussion ensembles and other groups. Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre - Dance devotees have enjoyed classic and contemporary ballet at Friends University for nearly 20 years. Miller Series and Art Exhibits - The Miller Series brings a variety of performers from around the world to Wichita each year. The series features well-known choral groups, opera singers, jazz bands and many notable performers.
